Wedding Music and Live Musicians in Ravello

Ravello sits high above the Amalfi Coast, and it has been a music town for well over a century. The Ravello Festival has drawn musicians here every summer since the 1950s, Wagner visited the gardens of Villa Rufolo in 1880 and found the setting for Klingsor's magic garden in Parsifal, and the belvedere terraces were built with performance in mind.

That musical history is still felt throughout Ravello. Live performance belongs here, whether it is a string quintet in the gardens or a soprano singing as the sun sets over the coast.

Marina Simioni Music provides live music for weddings and events throughout Ravello, from a solo harpist at a clifftop ceremony to a full band on a villa terrace.

A Town Built Around Music

Ravello's two great gardens, Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, are among the most photographed wedding settings in Italy, and both were designed around views and open-air performance. The Duomo, the cloisters and the smaller villas offer quieter, more intimate alternatives.

Ravello venues tend to be more forgiving acoustically than the beach and terrace venues lower down the coast. Stone, enclosure and elevation all help. Unamplified music carries here in a way it often doesn't in Positano.
